President Biden in his 2024 State of the Union address announced multiple programs for first-time buyers, including a $10,000 tax credit for first-time buyers paid in two annual installments of $5,000 to the buyers,

a $10,000 tax credit to home sellers who sell their property to another owner-occupant buyer instead of selling to a corporation or investor

and up to $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-generation homebuyers whose families have not benefited from the generational wealth building that comes from owning a home.

And

AND!

The President is calling on the Federal Home Loan Banks to double its contributions to first-time home buyer grants and other affordability programs.

And

we already know the FHA is sitting on a huge pile of cash that it could deploy to lower its mortgage insurance rates for the second time in two years. This is great news all around.
