At a very high level, crypto staking involves the act of locking proof-of-stake crypto to receive rewards.

Best Staking Platforms - 10:19
Most cryptocurrencies will have native wallets that allow you to stake from, which essentially involves you depositing your crypto into the native wallet and selecting a staking pool to delegate to.

Some cryptocurrencies also support cold staking, which means that you're able to keep your crypto offline in a hardware wallet while receiving staking rewards.

Staking crypto on exchanges like Binance is likely the easiest option, but has increased risk due to the extensive history of exchange hacks, not owning your private keys, and increased centralization.
